Rodgers & Hammerstein protagonistas de los conciertos BBC Proms

Después de su extraordinario debut en los Proms de años anteriores, John Wilson y su orquesta elegida a mano regresó en 2010 al Royal Albert Hall para ofrecer un programa de éxitos de Broadway escrito por la gran asociación creativa de Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein. Extractos de Oklahoma!, Carousel, The King and I y The Sound of Music son solo algunas de las orquestaciones de películas recreadas por John Wilson e interpretadas por su orquesta, con los solistas Kim Criswell, Anna Jane Casey, Julian Ovenden y Rod Gilfry. El concierto está presentado por Katie Derham.

BBC Proms es un ciclo de conciertos que se celebra anualmente en Londres y que está patrocinado por la BBC. Se celebra en el Royal Albert Hall entre los meses de julio y septiembre y en su programación incluye recitales relacionados con el teatro musical.
